Heavy Fabricator / Welder (Dunedin)

Duties may include:

 

• Undertaking repairs and new fabrication of heavy transport equipment

• Working with engineering drawings, specifications and ensuring welding specifications are followed

• Working in the workshop or out on sites / jobs as required

 

The ideal candidate should have:

 

• Previous experience in similar roles, ideally in heavy transport equipment

• Preferred trade qualification in heavy fabrication

• Competency at MIG and Stick positional welding. Able to pass weld tickets, regular project testing.

• Attention to detail, strong communication skills

• Mathematical skills and understanding of dimensions

• Interpretation abilities of engineering drawings

• Time management skills
